Frequently Asked Questions

What is the multidisciplinary founding structure of SERMODULA?
SERMODULA was founded by İdris YAĞMAHAN (Architect), Celalettin YAĞMAHAN (Civil Engineer), and M. Furkan YAĞMAHAN (Interior Architect). Rather than splitting design, engineering, and factory fabrication across fragmented subcontractors, we coordinate architectural planning, Eurocode structural calculation, and interior pod manufacturing under a single cohesive leadership.
How are project inquiries, preliminary feasibility, and quotations coordinated?
All initial feasibility assessments, zoning evaluations, and commercial proposals are centrally coordinated by İdris YAĞMAHAN at the SERMODULA Project & Quotations Desk. Plot parameters, module transport clearances, and required finishes (shell & core vs. turnkey) are modeled to provide a transparent, binding cost framework.
Can we apply with our own architectural layout, sketch, or existing building plot?
Yes. Existing architectural drawings, schematic drafts, or local zoning guidelines serve as the starting point for our review. Our engineering team rationalizes the design onto an optimal structural steel grid (typically 3.0m - 4.2m widths and up to 14.0m lengths) without compromising architectural character.
Where does manufacturing take place and what quality certifications apply?
All 3D volumetric steel modules are fabricated in precision off-site manufacturing facilities in Türkiye under EN 1090-2 (Execution Class EXC3) and ISO 3834-2 welding quality management. Modules are assembled with laser-guided robotic jigs, maintaining ±2 mm structural tolerances, and undergo strict Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
How is destination site assembly and local building permission organized across Europe?
SERMODULA delivers fully weatherproof modules directly to building sites across 57 European countries via multimodal road and short-sea routes under DAP or DDP terms. We provide complete OpenBIM IFC models and structural calculation dossiers to your local registered architect or chartered engineer, and deploy experienced site supervisors to direct crane hoisting and structural interlock.
What structural warranty and service life does SERMODULA provide?
Our structural steel framing is protected with ISO 12944 certified C3/C4 anti-corrosion coatings and comes with a 10-year structural warranty. Modules are engineered according to Eurocode specifications for a designated design working life of 50 to 100+ years, equivalent to or exceeding conventional reinforced concrete construction.
